All presentations will be held in person at Ampitheatre Sakis Karagiorgas II (SKII), on the 2nd floor of the Karagiorga Wing of the University.
Access Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences
The campus is located on Siggrou Avenue, which connects the city centre to the southern suburbs and Pireaus Port. The campus is easily accessible from any relatively central location.
It is reachable by the following bus and trolleybus (yellow “bus” with overhead cables) routes with dropoff at Panteion Stop, directly outside the campus.

Access NCSR "Demokritos" from the centre of Athens
By Bus: Take the bus B5 from the Central Railway Station towards Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the “4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi”. The bus stop is very close to the main entrance of NCSR “Demokritos”. Depending on traffic, the journey from the centre of Athens may take from 45 to 60 minutes.
By Metro and Bus: Take line 3 of the metro (blue line) to “Doukissis Plakentias” direction and get off at “Nomismatokopio” stop. Follow the “Kondylaki” exit where you can reach the bus station. Take the B5 bus or the 407 bus towards the direction of Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the “4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi”. The bus stop is next to the main entrance of NCSR “Demokritos”. Depending on the traffic, this journey from the centre of Athens may take approximately 30 minutes.
By Taxi: Taking a taxi from the centre of Athens to NCSR “Demokritos” costs approximately 10 Euros. Depending on the traffic, the journey from the centre of Athens may take from 20 to 30 minutes.
Access NCSR "Demokritos" from Athens International Airport (AIA) "Eleftherios Venizelos"
There are several ways to travel to/from the city centre and the Airport:
Metro
Take Metro Line 3 (Agia Marina – Douk.Plakentias – Athens International Airport), which connects the Athens airport with the city centre. Trains run every 30 minutes, 7 days a week from 6:30 to 23:30. The trip between the Airport and Syntagma Station (Athens centre) lasts approx. 40 minutes and costs 10 Euros.
24-hour Express Buses
Express Bus routes directly connect Athens (city centre & greater area) and Piraeus (port) with the Athens International Airport (AIA) “Eleftherios Venizelos”. The service is provided on a nonstop basis seven days a week including holidays (24/7 operation). All buses drop off passengers at the Departures Level (inbound trips to airport) and depart from the Arrivals Level (outbound trips from the airport).

Taxi
Taxis are available at the designated Taxi waiting area located at Exit 3 of Arrivals Level. A taxi from the airport to the city centre (inner ring) costs a flat rate of approximately between 40 EUR (60 EUR after midnight). The charge is determined by the time of arrival at the destination and includes all applicable surcharges and extras.

Basic Info for Travelers
Language: The native language of the population is Modern Greek. English is widely spoken as a second language by most Greeks, while French and German are also spoken to a good extent.
Time: Greece is 2 hours ahead of GMT and an hour ahead of CET time.
Health: Emergency treatment is free to all visitors in public hospitals. Use the European number 112 for all emergencies.
Currency: Greece is a full member of the European Union since 1981, and its currency is the Euro (€). All major credit cards are widely accepted in Greece.
Visa Information: Greece follows the Schengen Agreement provision and the subsequent acquis concerning short term visa issues stays up to three (3) months in the Schengen area. Holders of regular passports from the rest of the world need a visa to visit Greece (and the Schengen area).
