TRANSEUROPA
7-11 OCT.2026 ATHENS

FESTIVAL OF ARTS
POLITICS AND CULTURE

The Digital Commons Conference is collaborating with TRANSEUROPA, European Alternatives' transnational festival of arts, culture and politics, taking place in Athens on 7–11 October 2026 under the theme "Reclaiming the Cloud(s)". Our two events share a strong interest in the commons: collective stewardship of resources and infrastructures, democratic participation, and reclaiming public and digital spaces in the face of enclosure and inequality.

As part of this collaboration, Billie Dibb from European Alternatives will offer a greeting and introduce the festival at our conference on 8 October. We will also participate in the festival's Citizens' Assembly on AI and Border Control on 10 October, organised within the Democratic Digital Commons project, exploring how artificial intelligence shapes migration, surveillance and access to rights.

We are also contributing an article on behalf of our Organising Committee to the special issue of the EA Journal dedicated to "Reclaiming the Cloud(s)". Each edition of TRANSEUROPA is accompanied by a special journal issue that explores the festival's themes in greater depth. Our contribution connects digital commons with the collective reclamation of infrastructures and the ethics of autonomy.

We warmly thank the TRANSEUROPA team for reaching out to us and initiating this collaboration.

Infrastructuring the commons, together.
